Redenaars
Every year our Overberg High learners participate in the Overberg Eisteddfod.
They enter for the English and Afrikaans sections for speaking and writing. They do very well and every year we have a number of Cum Laude certificates awarded to our learners. Many gold and silver are attained as well. We are very proud of Anri Matthee who was awarded a Cum Laude certificate for Creative Writing. We look forward to reading her work in the future.
The music, singing, art and dancing sections are also very well-supported.
We have the privilege of having two gold medal awards in 2017.
Gold medal for best pianist in Overberg District was awarded to Jeannie Fick.
Gold medal for best choir in the Overberg District was awarded to our school choir.
They performed at the Prestige Prize Winners Ceremony in Hermanus on Wednesday 30 August 2017. We are very proud of them.
